CANHELP Cancer Support Group

Based on the Ian Gawler approach. Meets 1st & 3rd Tuesday each month from 6.00-8.30pm at Level 1, 280 Pitt St. On the 1st Tuesday the group is led by a facilitator with a half hour meditation. On the 3rd Tuesday there is a guest speaker. Ring Sue Saxelby 0408 442 030

Prince of Wales Hospital Cancer Information Centre

Prince of Wales Cancer Hospital Information Centre L2, Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Bright Alliance Building, Cnr High & Avoca Sts, Randwick.

 

A walk in, friendly space for cancer patients, carers & their friends/family for cancer info & support. Mon-Fri 9-3.30pm. Trained volunteers guide to resources, provide social support, connect to support. Free booklets, web resources.

The Kinghorn Cancer Centre Wellness Centre

Wellness Centre at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre provides a relaxed, comfortable environment for cancer patients to access the latest information, advice and evidence-based complementary and allied health therapies. As a St Vincent’s patient, you have access to world class treatments and expert specialists who are dedicated to guiding you through your care.

Wellness Centre forms part of TKCC’s integrative medicine approach which addresses the biological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of health and illness, with due respect for the human capacity for healing and the importance of the relationship between the practitioner and the patient. Connection of the mind and body is important and a focus of the Centre.

 

Our Wellness Therapies are offered by highly experienced practitioners as an adjunct to conventional medicine, where there is open communication between all care providers and the patient; an environment where patient choice and quality of life is paramount.

 

Our FREE group Wellness Programs facilitated by experts in therapeutic psychotherapy, health and wellness and are held regularly throughout the year and are available free of charge to all patients.
